Are baby strollers allowed on course?
Yes, please start in the back of the pack and stay to the right, when out on course, so runners can safely pass.
Where do the races start?
Can one person from a family/group/team pick up all packets?
Yes, no problem. Have your designated person meet us at any of the following locations to pick up shirts, bibs, and timing chips. Packet Pick-up Page >>
Are bikes, hoverboards, scooters, skateboards, push bikes, unicycles or wagons allowed on course?
No, due to safety concerns, only baby strollers/joggers and wheelchairs are allowed on the course. We ask those with baby strollers/joggers to stage toward the back of the start line chute and stay to the right to not impede faster participants.
Can I walk the course?
5K: Yes, we just ask that you complete the 5K course in one (1) hour or less, which is a 20 minute per mile pace. Roads will reopen at 11am, so please be sure to check your pace to ensure a positive experience.
Half: Yes, we just ask that you complete the Half course in three (3) hours or less, which is a 13:45 minute per mile pace. Roads will reopen at 10am, so please be sure to check your pace to ensure a positive experience.

What is the Oaktown Challenge
For those Oaktowers ready to take on the Half Marathon & 5K on Sunday, we’ll have the opportunity for you to bring home an extra massive medal and hella bragging rights. There’s a bundled registration discount as well for you to score here.
What is the Stomper’s Stomp?
Stomper’s Stomp Hosted by the Oakland A’s Mascot, Stomper, is a kids fun run for 2-8 year olds on Sunday, August 11th at 11am. Participants should meet our team at the 5K start line at 10:50am where we will then escort them to their appropriate start line. 2-3 year olds have an 80 yard course, 4-5 year olds have a 200 yard course and 6-8 year olds have a 300 yard course.
Are there aid stations on course?
Our Half Marathon will have an aid station around every two miles (six total). Each aid station will have water, nuun sports drink, and portable bathrooms. Our aid station at mile 8 will also feature energy gels.
The 5K does not have any aid stations on-course, but we’ll have water, bathrooms, and nuun for you at the finish line!
Where do I park on race morning?
Street parking as well as parking garages are plentiful throughout the Downtown area near our Start Line. We strongly suggest carpooling and arriving early, so we’re able to close streets and start the race on time.
Where are the restrooms?
Portable toilets will be located along the 14th Street side of the festival area, along with hand washing stations.
